Sudlows have been appointed as one of the contractors to deliver an exciting public sector framework on behalf of Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO), one of the largest publically owned buying organisations.

YPO has announced the launch of their data centre, maintenance cloud hosting and security framework to ensure data can be stored compliantly and accessed across several locations via the cloud.

The framework, estimated to have a value of £400m will support organisations within local governments and the education sector that have large or multiple sites.

Sudlows are on the project framework for multiple lots including; data centre design, data centre audit and consultancy, building services and the maintenance of mechanical and electrical Infrastructure.

Sarah Sesum, Category Manager for ICT at YPO commented:

“We’re excited to be bringing the latest data technology to the public sector and know the significant benefits this can bring. Organisations in local government and education sectors will often naturally span large estates so it is integral that their data can be stored effectively and can be accessed in a timely manner.

“Working closely with our supplies, we intend to provide tailored data solutions for many years to come.”

John Collins, Managing Director at Sudlows added:

“Sudlows have been delivering award winning data centres for the public sector for a number of years and so we are thrilled to have been appointed to this new procurement framework, aimed at supporting more organisations across education and local government. We look forward to working with our new clients to help and support their data centre infrastructure needs with our world class skills and experience.”
