It gives us great pleasure to announce the promotion of two valued colleagues from our Enterprise Services Team here at Sudlows.

Mike Tilston (Electrical) and Martin Marland (Connectivity) have both been promoted to the role of Operations Director within their respective divisions.

Between them, Mike and Martin have nearly 50 years of service with Sudlows, having both joined the business as apprentices in their teenage years—an outstanding reflection of their commitment and progression.

Mike began his career in the electrical department, qualifying as an Electrician before rapidly advancing through the ranks. He went on to become an NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, then progressed into Project and Operations Management, most recently serving as Head of Operations. Mike has been instrumental in developing our Electrical Operations Team and has played a key role in strengthening the collaboration between the Enterprise Services and Critical Infrastructures project delivery models.

Martin likewise completed his apprenticeship at a young age, specialising in connectivity and fibre. He initially worked on the pre-construction side of the business, delivering surveys, designs, and estimates. Moving into operations, Martin quickly progressed from Operations Manager to Head of Operations, where he has been a major contributor to our recent success with hyperscale clients across Europe and, more recently, North America.

Their dedication gives us every confidence that they will excel in their new roles and play a key part in supporting Sudlows’ continued growth.
