We are delighted to announce the promotion of three colleagues to Board Director roles at Sudlows. Dave Goodwin and Phil Jacques are joining the Sudlows Limited Board, and Oly Neale is joining the Board representing Sudlows Enterprise Services.

Dave brings nearly 40 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry, including a decade at Sudlows following his military service with the Royal Engineers. He has progressed through project management and operational leadership roles, specialising in data centres since 1999 and delivering increasingly complex projects across the UK and Europe. Since joining Sudlows in 2016, Dave has led Operational Teams and played a key role in establishing a scalable and resilient operating model, enabling Sudlows to perform as a principal contractor in the data centre market. Under his leadership, the business has successfully delivered projects ranging from live-site upgrades to Tier IV facilities. As Director of Operations, Dave remains focused on delivering best-in-class data centre solutions while building a robust, scalable and trusted business.

Oly joined Sudlows in 2013 after running his own successful electrical business. Over the past 13 years, he has held several senior roles including Electrical NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, Field Operations Manager, Retail Operations Manager, Enterprise Head of Operations, Enterprise Operations Director, and most recently Managing Director of Enterprise Services in 2024. With extensive operational and strategic leadership experience, Oly has been instrumental in expanding Sudlows’ Enterprise Services Division and extending the company’s service offering into the Middle East, North America and, most recently, Australia.

Phil is a highly experienced projects professional with over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, specialising in cooling, mechanical and critical infrastructure systems for data centre environments. He began his career through a City & Guilds air conditioning apprenticeship, developing strong technical expertise and a customer-focused work ethic as a service engineer. Since joining Sudlows seven years ago, Phil has progressed through project engineering roles to Director of Projects, expanding his remit to full design and build delivery across mechanical, electrical and civil works. He brings a pragmatic, solutions-driven approach, strong commercial awareness including P&L responsibility, and a proven track record of building high-performing teams, long-term client relationships and profitable growth.

The promotion of Dave, Oly and Phil strengthens the Sudlows Board by increasing capacity to focus on strategy, enhancing diversity, broadening skills and expertise, improving stakeholder engagement and providing stronger governance for the business—benefiting both our colleagues and clients alike.

With a combined 30 years’ service at Sudlows and more than 100 years of industry experience, we are confident that their appointments will support Sudlows’ continued growth and our delivery of world-class, resilient and sustainable solutions.
