Sudlows is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Supervisor, based in the United States, to oversee building or mechanical/electrical (MEP) works within our critical data center environments. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all construction, maintenance, and repair activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with strict data center operating procedures and compliance standards. This role demands a basic understanding of data center infrastructure, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities related to building or MEP works (depending on specialization).
  • Enforce strict adherence to data center safety protocols, security procedures, and operational standards.
  • Manage and oversee subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential risks, hazards, or non-compliance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including permits, inspections, and safety documentation.
  • Coordinate with data center operations teams to minimize disruption to critical systems during maintenance or construction activities.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and industry best practices (e.g., NFPA, OSHA).
  • Participate in pre-construction planning and provide input on constructability and potential challenges.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in supervising building construction projects (data center experience would be an advantage).
  • Good understanding of data center infrastructure and operations.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards. Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and maintain project schedules.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • OSHA certification preferable
