Sudlows have been working as a preferred technology partner of this client for a number of years, primarily supporting their cabling, AV and Security needs. Sudlows were engaged to complete a technology fit-out of their new flagship office space in Canary Wharf, London. Comprising of 13 floors of commercial office space, the project included an extensive range of Audio Visual solutions, Structured Cabling and Network Technology.

The commercial office spaces were split across a range of use cases including a full floor plate, double height entrance lobby which included background music provision, digital signage within the lift lobby and a full height 3×3 video wall, a first for the customer. The digital signage solution extended to all floors including all lift lobbies and other strategic locations such as the main event space.

The main areas of the building comprised of hot desking areas, small independent offices and enterprise spaces. Interwoven within these spaces are a mix of communal lounges, meeting rooms of varying sizes, training rooms and event spaces.

A background music system was deployed across the building which included all communal spaces, lobbies, toilets and event spaces. The event space and the classroom audio solution is provided by the main background music solution but capable of being controlled locally to support event and classroom content. Within the event spaces, wireless microphones were provided including a supporting antenna system cabled back to the AV rack.

A range of display technologies were deployed ranging from 49” screens in small four-person meeting rooms and up to 75” screens in boardroom sized meeting spaces. Display technology then shifted to projection for the much larger screens deployed in the classroom and event spaces. Both wired and wireless connectivity was provisioned for users to connect to the meeting spaces.

The value of this project was in excess of £1.3million and the main phase of works, comprising of 80% of the total build was delivered against a condensed 12-week programme.

• 2no event spaces including motorised screens, projection, microphones and antenna array, audio and room control systems.

• Audio distribution system including Core DSP, amplifiers, 700+ speakers across all lounges, event spaces, lobbies and toilet facilities.

• AV rack supply and build.
