Due to the continued expansion of our award-winning data centre design and build business, we have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Sub-contractor Quality Controller. Sudlows, who work throughout the UK, have a growing portfolio of clients globally. We have over 200 staff and have achieved recent growth with ongoing expansion plans. Role Purpose

Due to ongoing business growth, Sudlows Group has identified the requirement for a more robust sub-contractor management system, and therefore a new role is required to manage our sub-contractor development process. This new role will assist in adding value across various ‘Group’ business functions, including Health and Safety, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, and Project Delivery. The role will report to the Head of Procurement & Commercial.

Personal Specification

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manging new contractor onboarding and approval process
  • Supporting new Sub-contractors on becoming approved Sudlows partners
  • Development of new Subcontractor quality system ensuring compliance with Sudlows health and Safety requirements
  • Categorise, develop, and implement a new approved Sub-contractor list for Sudlows Group; including vendor assessment and ‘lessons learned’ re Sub-contractor performance
  • Managing Sub-contractor appraisal process ‘Project by Project’ both Health and Safety and Quality
  • Management of Sub-contractor commercial terms ‘Payment Terms and Cost’
  • Cross functional working between Sudlows departments to support business goals
  • Administration and upkeep of management systems
  • Engage directly with contractors to discuss ground rules, expectations, and competencies
  • To carry our annual Sub-contractor reviews with senior management team
  • To ensure compliance as necessary with insurance requirements, and legislative issues eg IR3

  • Able to maintain accurate and timely records as required by the role

  • It is essential that the suitable candidate can demonstrate having previous experience in the management of Sub-contractor and the quality control procedure
