Role Purpose

To assist in the overall operational delivery of projects, including the Health and Safety, technical, commercial and managerial requirements from pre-commencement to practical completion. Provision of high-quality customer service and interface with of relevant support functions allocated to the project. Ensuring that works are carried out to an exceptional standard and in accordance with specifications by utilising effective leadership skills.

Personal Specification

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • To manage the day to day running of each activity to ensure that delivery is successful within the time and cost constraints
  • Assist Project Manager in key tasks associated to project sites including managing contractor resource, performance, reporting and site handover documentation
  • To provide technical knowledge to the site-based project team to ensure the correct planning of the project, making sure that the hardware, materials and resource are suitable to complete all works to the required standard, ‘right first time’
  • To manage the day to day running of each activity to ensure that delivery is successful within the time and cost constraints
  • Report any out of scope works back to the project manager to ensure that additional works are captured and charged back to the customer
  • Ensure the delivery of necessary Handover Packs and QA these to ensure quality
  • To work with the PM to ensure that the necessary resources are available to deliver projects
  • Supervising contractor first to final fix installation teams, ensuring that any project-specific quality or technical standards are completely understood
  • Assist Project Manager in key tasks associated to client sites including performance managing contractor resource, reporting and site handover documentation
  • Assess works completed by a 3rd party to allow sign off
  • Verifying at relevant project stages (‘sign-off’) that these standards have been achieved (or triggering remedial action required)
  • Ensure that H&S requirements are being adhered to at all times

Skills and Qualifications:

  • SMSTS
  • ECS card
  • First aid 3 day (preferable)
  • Asbestos awareness (preferable)
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation works
  • C&G 2391 testing (desirable)
  • Work with / co-ordinate with other trades
  • Driving Licence
  • Detailed knowledge of the construction site and construction methods, tools and materials
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills essential for team-based working
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills required for our fast-paced environment
  • Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
