Due to the continued expansion of our highly successful specialised engineering company, including our award winning data centre design and build business, we are looking for an experienced Administrator to be based from our Watford office.

Role Purpose

To provide administrative support to the operations and estimation teams where required. You will ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest level of accuracy without delay. You will be a valued member of the team in our southern office and will be responsible for the management of all documentation received and distributed. You will have a strong work ethic, ensuring all documentation is produced to the highest degree of quality and accuracy and issued within set timescales.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Data input, data extraction, photocopying, filing and typing duties as directed
  • To support the team to maintain accurate, timely and legible records
  • To answer/deal with queries, both face to face and via the telephone, take messages and pass them on to the relevant member of staff in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Maintaining filing systems in line with organisations policies and procedures
  • Answering the phone and dealing with departmental queries
  • Support the wider project team in all aspects of administration work
  • Liaise with clients in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring open lines of  communication are maintained at all times

Personal Specification

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous administrator experience with advance knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of working within an operations environment is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Highly flexible with a demonstrated willingness to take on a responsible approach to any issues
  • Practical and logical approach to problem solving
  • Be a team player with the ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships
  • Understand the need and importance of being discreet and respecting confidentiality

  • Ability to organise own workload
  • Ability to prioritise work and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Able to maintain accurate and timely records as required by the role
